A set of 5 , 1960s Danish Modern Dining chairs made by Fritz Hansen and designed by the Danish team of Peter Hvidt and Orla Molgaard -Nielsen. Known as stacking Portex Chairs, they were designed in 1945 and produced by F.H. in the 1960s. Light in color and made of beautiful beech wood. This particular set is the harder to find units with NO HOLES Drilled into the sides and no screws showing in back . The holes in the other models were possibly designed for side by side seating for a wedding for example or an opera house. The design without the exposed screws or large drilled holes is esthetically more desirable in a dining room aplication. They measure 16.5 inches wide by 16.5 deep by 32.7 high in back and 17.7 tall at the seat.
